A stroll through Gastown and central Vancouver, BC. I think that the comedy show image may be my favorite. The Rainier Hotel image also calls to me. It was the actual “Di Beppe” sign that beckoned me come inside: an Italian coffee shop by morning and (apparent from the menu) delicious Ital spot by evening. Shots from the interior, where that coffee sits by the window, watching passersby pass on by.
A couple of shots of the Vancouver Block, as it has been known since 1912. One with the “one bird” theme (it seems a favorite spot of pigeons); one a view of cable car cables and an open intersection offering a better view of the building built upon the highest point in downtown (more info here). A church of commercialism upon the town’s apex offering glory to the era’s monetary gods.
The top image (yes, I realize I am moving from bottom to top here) just a fun pause within an atrium, of a stairway that leads to nowhere. They need to put in a slide to get back down, don’t you think?
